Red Baron is a popular, RHS Award of Garden Merit-winning red onion variety known for its deep crimson skin, crisp white and red-ringed flesh, strong flavour, and great winter storage capacity
Bulb Shape: Flattish-round with dark red skins.
Flavor: Stronger and more robust than many other red onion types, making it ideal raw in salads or cooked in dishes.
Planting Time: Typically planted in spring (February to April) or autumn for overwintering depending on the set type.
Spacing: Plant sets roughly 10cm to 15cm apart in rows spaced 25cm to 30cm apart, keeping the tip of the set just visible above the soil

On arrival, onion sets should be laid out to prevent sweating and sprouting. Any apparent deterioration in quality should be notified to us within 7 days of receipt of goods..
On arrival unpack sets and lay in a seed tray in a cool airy place until ready to plant. Plant sets just below the surface spaced 10-15cm apart along the row and spaced 30-45cm between the rows. ;
