Equivalent to some competition and conditioning feeds, Alfalfa plus Oil provides a good source of slow release energy that will keep your horse fuller for longer, without excessive calories or bloating. With a high fibre content and a great source of protein, this feed is perfect for horses that need a little help building muscles and top-line, as well as support the gut and digestive system. Low in starch with no added sugar or molasses, it is a healthier option for horses who need less calories or whose starch levels needs to be controlled, whilst also providing enough nourishment to give them the energy they need on a day to day basis. Combine Alfalfa Plus Oil with a balancer such as Lo-Cal or Performance Balancer (sold separately), for a complete, balanced and nutritious meal for your horse. Feeding Instructions - Alfalfa Plus Oil may be added to a horse’s compound feed at an advised total of 3 1?2 - 4lb (1-2 Stubbs Scoops) per feed for a horse and 3 - 3 1/2lb (1-1 1?2 stubbs scoops) for a pony (including additional mixes, cubes or sugar beet, if fed). For optimum digestion, keep compound meals small. - Where forage is of poor nutritional value or when a horse is not a good forage eater, Alfalfa Plus oil can be fed in addition to, or to partially replace, the forage ration. - When fed alongside hay and/or in addition to compound feed, 1.5kg to 3kg per day may be fed.
