Marvel is an early maincrop and high yielding variety with long, oval tubers with creamy skin. All round variety but is particularly good for chips. Good disease resistance.

- Appearance: Long, oval tubers with smooth, cream-coloured skin and shallow eyes.
- Uses: Excellent for chips (fries), baking, roasting, mashing, and all-round cooking.

- Disease Resistance: Good resistance, including to blight and dry rot.
Growing Marvel Potatoes:
- Planting: Plant maincrop seed potatoes from March, after "chitting" (sprouting) them.
- Conditions: Prefers full sun and moist, well-drained soil, with well-rotted manure added.
- Harvest: Harvest from July to October when skins are set.
